Christine Stephanie
is a composer whose music instantly takes the listener on a journey. Her recent work includes music for The Arbiter (2025; FrightFest London Film Festival), Ratgirl (2025), DokMai (Sai Bi Dee) (2025; Zions International Film Festival), all good (2026; Indie Short Films Fest NYC), and upcoming documentary Four Days in June (2026).
Christine writes emotionally resonant scores that blend neoclassical and electronic elements, defined by a strong narrative perception and an instinctive ability to translate complex inner and outer worlds into clear, memorable musical themes.
She brings a multidimensional background to her scoring approach. She started playing piano by ear at four and grew up immersed in classical piano, vocal performance, and contemporary and ballet dance, all of which now inform her sense of movement and phrasing.
Prior to composing full-time, she earned a Bachelor of Science and worked in psychology-driven HR and Operations roles, grounding her in collaboration, communication, and human behavior. This lends itself to her ability to interpret directors' visions clearly and deepen the emotional journey of the characters and stories she scores (and, as a bonus, taught her to thrive in project management, ensuring every project lands on time).
Christine's hybrid style emphasizes emotional clarity, subtle motif writing, and textural nuance. She composes to create moments that help audiences feel and remember.
When not composing, Christine loves hiking in the gorgeous Wasatch mountains, walking her doggo Ella, or jamming with the 90’s alt rock/00’s punk rock cover band “Stay Together for the Kids” where she’s the lead singer.
